The Art Of Gluten-Free Baking

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011
6:00-9:00pm

Would you like more confidence in the kitchen so you can make safe, healthy, gluten-free baked goods? People often feel that in order to have something healthy, they have to sacrifice quality and/or taste. This workshop will disprove this in bringing forth, Celiac and Gluten Sensitive friendly treats that are completely unique, made with whole foods and organic ingredients.

Mike Robinson, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Holistic Artisan Baker, will guide us through an evening of gluten-free baking. Along the way, we will explore the differences between a sensitivity, intolerance and full blown Celiac Disease, what this means to people and how to approach it.

As Mike demonstrates some of the finer points of gluten-free baking, he will share with us the reasons he uses certain ingredients and some of their origins. In doing so, Mike will help empower us with the confidence that gluten-free baking can be easy and delicious!

In this fun and interactive workshop you will learn how to make some of Mike’s favorite gluten-free snacks! Tasty samples will be provided!

This class is great for all ages and skill levels! Join Rich Ralph, registered holistic nutritionist and Mike Robinson, holistic artisan baker for an evening of gluten-free exploration!

Mike Robinson is an Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Life Coach and Holistic Artisan Baker. Mike completed his chef training in 1996 (though his love for food was first cultivated in childhood by baking with his grandmother, with whom he shared a special bond). He has always enjoyed food but as he began to understand more about why food matters, he realized that his offering was bigger than just creating tasty food. He knew there were ways to make quality food that addressed issues like Gluten Sensitivity, Diabetes and Vegans that also tasted good. Whole foods and real ingredients helped make that possible combined with passion that carries the desire to make a difference on a larger scale to help empower people to want to know what is in the food hey are eating. Mike has developed all the recipes himself and features 12 independently created products which are whole food based and all gluten free, while others are also sugar free, dairy free, and vegan.
